TRANSPORT BY ACTIVE FILAMENTS

摘要
I consider the transport of particles in 2D and 3D networks of <<sticky and active>> filaments, able to adsorb them reversibly and propel them while adsorbed. The free-diffusion process that rules the trajectories of particles between these active adsorptions induces specific features: the release of a particle by a single filament is diffusion controlled, which improves the filament propelling ability, and, on larger scales, random networks of filaments lead to a superdiffusive behaviour. More generally, I quantify transport at different scales and in different network geometries.
