摘要：

The diagnosis of hereditary hemochromatosis was established in a now 60-year-old man. Regular phlebotomy therapy could favourably influence the disorder of iron metabolism. The serum ferritin concentration turned out to be the best control parameter for the efficiency of the therapy.
