摘要：

Requirements for the training of engineers year-on-year increase. New specialties, new disciplines, but one thing remains unchanged - it is a fundamental mathematical training of students of technical University, which should be sent to the direction of formation of media competence of the future engineer. The authors see the solution of this problem in media education is integrated with academic discipline "Mathematics" in the conditions of a technical University. The article considers the comparative analysis that allows to conclude that the tasks of media education and mathematics education are the same, not only textually, but also in meaning.
