REVIEW OF THE RECENT APPLICATIONS OF HIGH-ENERGY MICROPROBES IN ARTS AND ARCHAEOLOGY

摘要
The recent literature on applications of high energy ion beams in arts and archaeology is reviewed. The first part summarizes the new improvements of the specific experimental devices installed on accelerators for the examination of fragile and unique materials. In the second part the difficulties encountered in the analysis of these often inhomogeneous and irregular samples are described. The last part reviews applications on paper and parchments, bones, paintings, ceramics, glasses and metal artefacts published mainly in the last three years.
