A change in the critical temperature T(c) resulting from the topological transition has been investigated in terms of the two-band model of superconductivity. It is shown in the paper that appearance of electrons in an empty band or holes in the completely filled band is attended by increase of the superconducting transition temperature. With realistic choice of the model parameters, the nonlinear growth of the critical temperature observed in experiments investigating the effect of impurities on T(c) can be described.
