摘要
The management of spinal immobilisation devices is an important component of trauma care. Prolonged immobilisation is associated with notable morbidity, most commonly cutaneous pressure necrosis. This paper evaluates current thinking on the management of spinal immobilisation devices in the emergency department, and concludes that a pathway to expedite device removal could improve trauma care.
