摘要
In the methodological documents that guide the work of the Spanish-literature course outlines the place given to the Cuban school reading does not always get the expected results in the formation of a competent reader. Given these considerations, a strategy of reading comprehension. Composed of interrelated elements: target (governing category), prior knowledge, text processing and extension of knowledge teaching tasks, which respond to the above components, the techniques that bring together different types of readings, and assessment (diagnostic process and final), taken as a starting point to apply, refocus and evaluate its impact. The cognitive approach, communicative and sociocultural, serves as a theoretical and methodological support that is centered development of communicative competence of the student. To the extent that this broaden their knowledge and enrich their ideas achieve greater effectiveness in the communication process.
