摘要：

An introductory study to Narrative Theory that organizes the material according to four approaches: the poetic, the rhetoric, the epistemological and the ethical. The article shows the major schools and the principal authors that have influenced these developments. The purpose is to explore the scope and limitations of the most important concepts of Narrative Theory.
