摘要：
The dynamic response of a layer having properties similar to those of living tissue is investigated. Biological tissue is distinguished by an extremely low transverse wave velocity and fluidlike properties (the Poisson ratio is practically equal to 0.5). It is shown on the basis of a solution of the contact problem and experimental measurement of the contact stiffness that allowance for the presence of shear waves leads to qualitatively different results from those obtained for a fluid layer.
