摘要：

This article aims to reflect how social policies guarantee social protection to the Akwe-Xerente population between the 1970's to 2010's, through a critical bibliographical review. A reflection was made on the process of formation of the social policies inherent to the Capitalist Mode of Production from its formation in monopolies, as it was constituted in Brazil, as they impact on the population Akwe-Xerente from the decade of 1970 until 2017. It was identified that even with the conquest of the demarcation of the indigenous lands, social protection to the Akwe-Xerente population has not advanced much between 1970 and 2010. The impoverishment persists, as well as the struggle remains for not losing ground and for expanding social rights.
