摘要：

Various mathematical analytical functions were investigated as to their applicability for modelling of approximation of the characteristic curve (the curve of blackening) of photographic materials. The individual approximation functions were evaluated on the basis of the agreement between the parameters chosen and the sensitometric quantities read from the real curves constructed according to the functions. In this respect the best results are obtained from the newly suggested simple formula providing four mutually independent parameters which correspond to the basic sensitometric quantities.
