Background. Disabled patients with somatic and mental disorders are characterized by poor condition of mineralized tooth and periodontal tissue. Dental care, diagnostics, and treatment of tooth and periodontal diseases are still insufficient for these patients. It has been concluded that dental treatment under general anesthesia is the most recommended one for this group of patients. Objectives. The aim of the study was to assess the condition of mineralized tooth tissues in view of dental caries and its results in disabled adults from the Lublin region treated under general anesthesia. Material and Methods. The examined group consisted of 147 patients of both sexes (61 females and 86 males), aged 18 to 56 years, and coming from the Lublin region. In this group of patients, the dental treatment under general anesthesia was performed for the first time in 89.80% patients, and in 10.20% for the successive time. Forty point fourteen percent (n = 59) of the examined patients were residents of a big city, 23.13% (n = 34) came from a small town, and 36.73% (n = 54) from a village. Clinical examinations were carried out using the dental mirror and the dental probe, in artificial light in the operating theatre. The condition of tooth tissue was assessed through caries prevalence, the average D3MFT number and its components D3T, MT, FT. Results. The obtained results revealed 100% caries prevalence in adult disabled patients who underwent dental treatment under general anesthesia. Caries intensity in all these patients was expressed by a mean value of D3MFT and equaled 13.13, whereas the mean value of its components was D3T - 10.92; MT - 0.95; FT - 1.26, respectively. Conclusions. One hundred percent of caries frequency and high average values of D3MFT and its component D3T show the poor condition of mineralized tooth tissue in the group of adult disabled patients treated under general anesthesia. Adult disabled patients require special dental care
