EVALUATION OF THE PERFORMANCE OF ADSL TECHNOLOGY ON THE INTERNET NETWORK BROADBAND

The intention of this study was the one "To evaluate the performance of technology ADSL in the network of Internet broadband", with the purpose of having an access to direct, constant and fast Internet, to be able to carry out different works and projects, through the transmission of voice, video and data. The type of investigation is of Field, Descriptive. Technology ADSL offers the advantage of which it has the facility to as much establish a connection to Internet at great speeds of ascent (upstream) and lowered (downstream), considering the rapidity for the no single transmission of voice and uploading of pages Web, but of video, data and the transference of archives, among others, to long distances. Between the used instruments a set of guides of observations was used, in order to offer alternatives of theoretical- practical knowledge that they allow to give solution to the formulated problem. The results allow to establish that in certain zones where the measurements of speed in the North zone settled down specifically it is where there was greater yield as far as speed, and that as far as the quality of the service this is very good in how much to performance of speed and reliability. In conclusion one is due to take into account that the yield of a connection never is of the 100%. Some types of connections (analogical Modem, Aba) can to use different protocols (PPP, TCP/IP) that occupies bandwidth (between a 2% and a 20% of 100% total, according to the used protocol and the type of connection), with which the useful bandwidth for the unloading of data diminishes that they cause that the yield as far as speed is of the 100 percent, the attenuation is stable, reason why does not exist no fault in this aspect.
