摘要：

Wave splitting and invariant imbedding techniques are used to investigate the scattering of transient electro-magnetic plane waves normally incident upon a layered half-space of electrically anisotropic material. Such techniques set the problem in a framework that is intuitively appealing and well suited for describing the scattering processes that are taking place. An effective algorithm for the computation of the transient reflected fields is presented.
