摘要
A hypocycloidal crank mechanism with a sun-to-planet gear ratio D<1 and operated at constant angular frequency can be used to obtain very high impact velocity while maintaining a low impact frequency. The device may be useful for harvesting trellis trained fruit crops such as grapes. The principle may also be useful for impact testing since the long dwell time between impacts would facilitate placement of the specimen in the impact zone.
