摘要
The entrance end of a multimode optical fibre is positioned on the axis of rotation of a stepper motor driven by a microcontroller and is illuminated by the collimated beam of a laser diode coming at a variable incidence. The value of the refractive index is deduced from the automatic measurement of a particular angle. The accuracy of the device is about 1 X 10(-4) refractive index unit in the range (1.405-1.460). The periodic measurement is achieved in three seconds.
