摘要：

The aim of this paper is to give a survey of the types of PM components adopted by the automotive industry in Italy and comment on the quantities consumed, compared with the overall use of PM parts. Examples of new components, some of which are in the testing stage, are shown and it is indicated how it is possible, starting from standard solutions, to introduce new design concepts by using, for example, complex tooling and sophisticated press controls.
