DISULFIDE BRIDGES IN NH2-TERMINAL PART OF HUMAN FIBRINOGEN

摘要
The NH2-terminal portion of fibrinogen (N-DSK) obtained by cleavage with CNBr was a dimeric structure (M.W. 58,000). The half-molecules of N-DSK were apparently held together by symmetrical disulfide bridges in its A.alpha.- and .gamma.-chains. Consequently the 2 half-molecules of fibrinogen were linked in the same way. In addition, N-DSK contained inter chain disulfide bridges within its half-molecules. The arrangement of these bridges was shown and the geometry in relation to function discussed.
