摘要
This paper is characterized as a case study made with Biology teachers from public and private schools in Recife/PE that are students of a Pos-Graduation Course in Science Education. The main objective of it is analyze the initial and continuous education of those teachers in relation to Environmental Education. Interview was chosen as instrument to collect data. The results point to lack less of initial and continuous education that prepare teachers to work with the environmental theme, what represents difficulties to the development of Environmental Education in schools as suggested by official documents. Some strategies cited to improve teachers' education are: interdisciplinary, consciousness, discussion and research in Environmental Education.
