摘要
Characterisation of true-to-type wines from the variety 'St. Laurent' from the winegrowing region Thermenregion. The investigation of 'St. Laurent' wines (vintages 2005 and 2006) from the winegrowing region Thermenregion showed that this grapevine variety produces a distinct and identifiable type of wine in this region, although the flavour of these wines corresponds in many ways to that of 'Zweigelt' wines from the adjacent winegrowing region Neusiedlersee-Hugelland. Except for the wine colour sensorily detectable differences were found with fruity-vegetative aroma descriptors and with varying vinification methods. Resveratrol and catechin contents also were widely similar, probably due to the relationship of the two varieties. Using statistical methods mineral contents could be distinctively distinguished from those found in wines from the winegrowing region Wagram, whereas they widely overlap with the wines from the region Leithaberg. Further characterisations of wine types from the Thermenregion will follow.
