摘要
When rats were trained on a brightness discrimination task, pre- and posttrial intrahippocampal application of a monoclonal antibody (A46-B/B10, IgM) specific for blood group H (types 2 and 4) recognizing Fuc(--> 2)Gal-beta(1 --> 4)GlcNAc- and/or Fuc(1 --> 2)Gal-beta(1 --> 3) GalNAc-beta-, significantly impaired the retention performance of the animals in the relearning session. No interference with the learning performance was seen during training. The amnesic action of the antibody is discussed and a crucial role of particular fucosylated glycoconjugates in mechanisms underlying information processing and engram formation is suggested.
