摘要
An integrated optics wavelength discriminator using two identical diffraction gratings and non-parallel horn transitions between channel waveguides is presented. The principle of discriminating combines the spectral characteristic of the gratings (in amplitude and direction) with the angular selectivity of the transitions. A detailed analysis of the performances is presented and leads to simple expressions for rough estimation. An example of this discriminator is described with GaAs/AlGaAs waveguides.
