In this work it has been used different structure directing agents (SDAs) in the synthesis of SAPO-34 trying to modify the location and nature of the acid centres and, so evaluate the influence of this parameter in the lifetime and catalytic performance of the catalysts. In order to try to improve the accessibility of the reagent to the active centres of SAPO-34, it has been also studied the influence of different mesoporogen agents nanometric carbons or chitosan- for generating mesoporosity in the SAPO-34 materials and, in that way, inhibiting their deactivation. Catalyst SAPO-34 synthesized with TEAOH as SDA has demonstrated the best performance in the MTO reaction due to its smaller crystal size, higher surface area and higher acidity. The use of mesoporogen additives, under the experimental conditions studied, does not improve the catalytic performance of these materials.
