THE ADVICE IN THE PROCESS OF EVALUATION: THE EXPERIENCE IN THE ARTS MUSICAL SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OF COSTA RICA

This document presents a counseling experience in autoevaluation-autoregulation processes and certification at the University of Costa Rica. For several years the college has used these processes as a way to publicize its efforts to consolidate academic programs of excellence, which gives initiatives to improve quality. For advisors the function of advisory is necessary to know the particular characteristics of the discipline or the school, and the decision making strategy, culture, context and the way they carry out the academic processes, each school has its own dynamics and relative independence. Finally, it shows an analysis of the latest university policies, also the results from the visit of the external evaluators.
