摘要
The objective of this article is to understand the possible reasons why elementary and secondary students of public schools do not learn English effectively. It is an important theme for business and educational area for it is proved that people who speak two or more languages can get better salaries. In order to reach our goals we placed a questionnaire to High School students in a public school, read articles, accessed Official Publications and had access to texts that shows the market value of knowing another language. Finally, we were certain that school needs to add in its horizon that learning English is not only important for cultural or educational reasons, but also for changing the life of their students as it makes it possible for them to change their salary status at work.
