摘要
Evaluation of alloy samples by x-ray fluorescence or optical emission is complicated by complex line spectra, the need for extensive background correction, and the requirement for closely matched standards. Alloy analysis by atomic absorption is time-consuming because the metals must be dissolved and analyzed one element at a time. Preliminary studies indicate the usefulness of a sequential, multielement analysis of solid conducting samples of widely varied composition using atomic absorption spectrometry. Complete elemental analysis requires a single set of calibration curves and an internal standard of unknown concentration.
