A hierarchy method on the Smoluchowski level is applied to calculate the particle flow in a weakly inhomogeneous suspension of interacting Brownian particles in the absence of hydrodynamic interactions. The collective diffusion coefficient and the self-diffusion coefficient in the stationary limit are discussed where the transport coefficients are calculated both for a dilute suspension and for a system at higher densities. Application is made to a Lennard-Jones hard sphere potential. The dependence of the transport coefficients on the potential parameters is studied.
