摘要
A novel approach is developed to determine polymer-polymer miscibility by viscometry. The method is derived from the classical Huggins equation, and rests on the validity of an addivity law pertaining to intrinsic viscosity. It is found that poly(vinyl chloride) is miscible with poly(methyl methacrylate) which, in turn, is immiscible with poly(isobutyl methacrylate). Other polyblends have also been studied by the present technique with results consistent with those from conventional methods. © 1990.
