摘要
A wide range of experiments has led to a clear understanding of the lowest-excited triplet metal-to-ligand charge transfer ((3)MLCT) transitions in metal-di-imine complexes embedded in crystalline hosts. In [Ru(di-imine)(3)](2+) complexes the static diagonal disorder in the metal-ligand subunit energies is substantially larger than the effective excitation exchange interaction beta leading invariably to localised lowest excited states.
