The diffusion of Al in Au:xAl (x equals 1. 6, 3. 0, 5. 0 at. %) has been investigated by measuring the rotating-frame nuclear spin relaxation time T//1// rho of **2**7Al. It is shown that the diffusion-induced contribution to T//1// rho , which we observe in the temperature range between 550 and 1150 K has to be attributed to **2**7Al diffusion. From the correlation times obtained from a Torrey approximation of the NMR data the temperature dependence of the correlated Al diffusion coefficient in Au:Al has been determined.
