摘要
Here our recent works about kaon condensation and its implication on astrophysical phenomena are reviewed. We have studied the mechanism of phase transition and condensed phase on the basis of PCAC and current algebra. To reproduce the low energy KN scattering amplitude we take into account the Lambda(1405) pole and smooth part with respect to energy. Some relativistic effects are also emphasized and a self-suppression mechanism is pointed out to be inherent in the kaon condensation. Bulk properties of neutron stars are discussed and then new cooling mechanisms (the kaon-induced Urea and the direct Urea processes) are illustrated.
