INFRARED-SPECTRA OF THE GESI AND SNSI MOLECULES IN ARGON MATRICES

摘要
Extending our recent studies of Si-2, Ge-2, and Sn-2, absorption spectra of the GeSi and SnSi molecules were observed at frequencies up to 3000 cm(-1) in argon matrices at 4 K. In each case the vibrational frequency in the ground state was determined, and the transition to the low-lying electronic state, (3) Pi<--X(3) Sigma(-), was observed as a vibrational progression. The experimental results are compared with the theoretical calculations of two groups.
