摘要
Background. Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in women in Poland. The correct strategy is prevention, particularly screening methods. Material and methods. An anonymous test was conveyed among 90 women: 30 medical students (S) from Medical University of Poznan, 30 general physicians (GP) from Wielkopolska and 30 patients (P) from Outpatients Clinic at Przybyszewskiego 49 in Poznan. There were 10 theoretical questions on breast cancer prevention and 16 questions on how women fulfill it. Results. S and GP gave 69% and P - 48% correct answers. Prevention practices are used by 62% S, 68% GP and 70% P. Conclusions. Knowledge on breast cancer prevention among S and GP is wider than among P. P present deficit in theoretical knowledge but they conform to prevention practices in higher percentage than GP and S. Tested women underestimate the role of clinical examination.
