ART TEACHING IN UBERLANDIA, MINAS GERAIS: TEACHERS' CHALLENGES IN BASIC EDUCATION

This study aims to analyze the challenges of the teaching profession in the arts, with the investigative procedure of the observations made in two schools in the state schools, the city of Uberlandia, Minas Gerais. To this end, an analysis of studies included in the core of the history of Brazilian education, addressing the training and professionalization, and teaching of Art, so that research could be based on theoretically producing reflections and interpretations on the issue presented here. Among some of the results, it was found that the assessment in art and working with image reading in the classroom are relevant challenges that teachers in this area of knowledge comes across in their educational practice and the importance of continued education for their educational practice. In this sense, this research adopted a qualitative approach, confirms the relevance of studies on the arts of teaching, the sharing and disseminating of knowledge for educational research and the interpretations made on this subject, referring to the challenges that pervade the profession in the educational field.
