摘要：

A 23-year-old gravida V para II was referred for an advanced anomaly scan at 21+3 weeks of gestation. The fetal head was round in shape and with obvious microcephaly. The midface was hypoplastic and the nose was absent. The frontal central nervous system midline structures were missing. The lateral ventricles were fused. Furthermore an ocular hypotelorism and a median cleft lip palate were present. The diagnosis was a holoprosencephaly. The cause was a structural aberration at the terminal end of the long arm of chromosome 7.
