摘要
In this paper the authors fit the spectral parameters of two types of models for shallow water waves, Wallops and GLERL, using a regression model for the log of the spectrum. The log spectral density is also estimated in a non-parametric way, smoothing the log periodogram with a smoothing spline. The deviation between the obtained log spectrum and the true log spectrum is estimated using an asymptotically unbiased estimate of the mean-square error. The results suggest that the first two models do not fit the data recorded in the Tablazo Bay, while the non-parametric model seems to fit quite well.
