摘要：
A model of excitation of self-vibrations, or oscillations, in metal cutting is considered in this work, wherein the loss of stability of the constant-speed cutting mode occurs as a result of temper-ature-dependent mechanical characteristics of the workpiece changing under the effect of heat gener-ation in the cutting zone.
