摘要
The popular religiousness inside the rural communities of indigenous origin in Mexico, is a phenomenon that by far transcends the merely pious- devotional sphere. Rather it is constituted as an extremely complex phenomenon in which religious, economic, political, social and identity elements converge, bringing into play the dialectical relationship among cultural minority groups as opposed to political and religious hegemony of the Mexican State. The social organization that is interwoven in the religious popular practices makes possible the continuity of ancient cosmovisions and reinforces the ties of regional identity.
