Implementation and Impact of a Self-Care Training Program Based on Mindfulness in Educational Professionals

摘要
The objective of the investigation was to adapt, implement and measure the impact of a self-care training program based on mindfulness, in wellbeing, life satisfaction, stress and burn-out levels of teachers and other educational professionals. The training was implemented in four schools, with 22 participants and 21 participants in the control group. Results show that those who received the intervention had a statistically signifi cant increase on life satisfaction and a decrease on stress, compared to the control group. No signifi cant effects on well-being and burnout were observed.
