A series of stable 1:1 complexes were isolated from 1:1 and 1:2 alkali metal salt and noncyclic oxocrowns mixture in methanol/ethyl acetate. Conductivities of alkali metal salt in the presence of acetoacetate diester of tetra, tri and di ethylene glycols (A1, A2 & A3) and ethyl benzoate diester of tetra and tri ethylene glycols (E1 & E2) were measured at 25-degrees-C in methanol. It has been observed that despite the absence of any ether oxygen the crown ether properties are retained in oxocrowns. The sequence of logK values for all diesters of polyethene glycols is Na+> K+. A1 shows higher stability constant with potassium. The effect of anion on the stability of complexes is negligible in solution while effect of anion is prominent in isolation studies. Ethyl benzoate diester shows enhancement in complexing tendency in comparison to aceto acetate diester.
