摘要
Purpose - Seeks to provide critical reflections on George Ritzer's globalization analysis. Design/methodology/approach - Draws on a critical reading of Ritzer's work, in particular, his most recent book The Globalization of Nothing. Findings - Highlights Ritzer's neglect of the dialectic of production and consumption, a dialectic that the author views as central to globalization. Originality/value - The contributions and limitations of Ritzer's book are identified and discussed.
