摘要
Without access to specific credits from private banking and with little support from the State, the poor implement their own strategies in order to access the land, housing and its progressive improvement. In Latin America between 50 and 75 % of households are self-produced by its inhabitants (Ortiz, 1995). AVE and CEVE have implemented a program of funding and technical assistance for the construction and improvement of housing on the basis of a small fund that has been re-used more than four times. The recipients are families with basic needs, scattered throughout the city of Cordoba that are homeless or have a housing deficit. The program supports the implementation of low-cost housing solutions that contribute to improving the quality of these families life.
