DIFFUSION AND REACTION IN SOLID BILAYERS UNDER ION-BOMBARDMENT

摘要
The phenomenon of diffusion and reaction in solid bilayers under ion bombardment is described by a set of equations like those occurring in non-equilibrium chemical systems. The model takes into account the variations of the properties of the sample during the process and the reaction rates appear as functions of the ion deposition energy in the inhomogeneous sample. A particular case is considered: an Fe/Al bilayer at temperature T = 500 K irradiated by Ar+ at 100 keV.
