THE DISSOCIATION EXCITATION REACTION OF CH3I AND CH3BR IN HELIUM FLOWING AFTERGLOW

摘要
The dissociative excitation of CH3I and CH3Br is investigated by Helium flowing afterglow technique. We estimated the relative populations of various electronically excited products. The formation rate constants of CH(A), CH(B) and CH(C) are obtained from reaction He(2(3)S) + CH3I. The rotational populations of CH(A2-DELTA, upsilon' = 0) can be represented in terms of a Boltzmann distribution.
