THE QUESTION OF TIME IN ONLINE EDUCATION: what do virtual students think

This study aimed to examine if the proposed time within a module in an online course is enough to meet the activities according to the virtual students. The mixed method was adopted as methodology with an approach in the case study. The sample was composed of 43 students of an online formation course. For the data collection were used an questionnaire, sent by email to the students and monitoring of the virtual learning environment. Data triangulation and content analysis were used to analyze the results, which showed that the students rarely posted the activities on time and attributed that due to lack of time available for study, since the professional activities were very intense; they had family related responsibilities and the given time was short, in addition to material excess (complex texts) among other reasons. It was then possible to notice that there is an imbalance in the matter concerning available content and time to perform the activities, which makes virtual students not often access the content (text and video), just trying to finish the product (activities).
