Results of a three year field study (1985-86 to 1987-88) conducted at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi showed that the growth regulators tricontanol, mixtalol, vipul, hico, agrostemin and seasol, significantly increased growth, yield attributes and grain and straw yields of wheat. Grain yield increased by 8 to 25 per cent due to different plant growth regulators; mixtalol gave highest increase in both grain and straw yields of wheat.
