MILLIMETER-WAVE MEASUREMENTS OF VIBRATIONALLY EXCITED-STATES OF THE HCN ISOTOPOMERS (HCN)-C-13-N-14, (HCN)-C-12-N-15, (HCN)-C-13-N-15, (DCN)-C-12-N-14, (DCN)-C-13-N-14, (DCN)-C-12-N-15, AND (DCN)-C-13-N-15

In this paper we report new measurements on the ΔJ = 1 transitions of seven isotopomers of hydrogen cyanide (HCN) in most of the vibrational states below 2000 cm-1. These states are v1vl2v3 = 0000, 0110, 020,20, 031,30, and 0001 (ν2 represents the bending and ν3 the CN stretching mode). All measurements were made in the millimeter-wave region of the spectrum between 138 and 483 GHz. For 14N-containing species nuclear hyperfine splitting was observed and analyzed by contour fitting. The determined transition frequencies were analyzed to evaluate the rotational molecular constants. Nuclear quadrupole coupling constants, (eQq)N, for 14N-containing species and rotational constants (effective constants as well as unperturbed constants resulting from l-type resonance analysis) for all the seven considered species and all measured transition frequencies are given in this paper. © 1993 Academic Press, Inc.
