摘要
Electron paramagnetic resonance spectra of VO2+ ions in alkali fluoroborate system of glasses (R = Li, Na) have been studied. The spectra are typical of V4+ ions present in vanadyl (VO2+) form in the glass. Spin-Hamiltonian parameters, DELTAg(parallel-to)/DELTAg(perpendicular-to), and the covalency parameters have been evaluated. It was found that these parameters are dependent upon the alkali ion concentration in the glass and the VO2+ ion is in an octahedral coordination with a tetragonal compression.
