摘要
In this paper we estimate an elliptic coefficient in a second order elliptic Neumann boundary value problem from the laboratory measurements of the state. We are given a formulation of the problem compatible with the laboratory experiment and determine regularity, stability, and approximation properties of the optimal estimator. The weak equation error model is used to incorporate the constraints imposed of the state function along with penalization to enforce constraints. Numerical examples are provided to compare with laboratory measurements.
