The article at hand, answers to a critical review over the topic in Social Impact Evaluation, as a reflection to the advanced research process called: Impact on the Social Projection Area within the Institution La Obra Social Maria Adelaida, between the years 1988 to 2005, assigned and adjoin to the Social Work Program in the Fundacion Universitaria Monserrate. This research has been financed by the same University institution and reached in 2009. In its subject, the writing focus the social impact as a strategy to build up, re-create and create social knowledge. It presents its significance and its sensitivity in Social Work with a course in mind, sharing the importance in researching for the social impact evaluation, it means to structure the social knowledge and the Social Work discipline; besides the need to socialize in the written speech the experiences of researches with the purpose of enriching its intentions and ways of operating. There are display facts related to the methodological process for the research in social impact evaluation, highlighting the phases and the procedures inherent in every phase, this, in the frame of a reflection in a research experience
